First Grosh Cares Program Winners Announced

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Grosh Backdrops & Projections is pleased to announce the winners of its inaugural Grosh Cares Grants for the Performing Arts program. Recipients of this prize exemplified distinct imagination in their productions; inspiring scenic designers and a passion for the arts. Young Shakespeareans, a community theatre in Los Angeles, California received the Grand Prize, Central Middle School in Kansas City, Kansas was the Runner Up and McCluer High School in Florissant, Missouri was awarded Third Place.
Grosh Cares is a response to financial challenges creative arts programs face every day. The inaugural program awarded $2500 for the Grand Prize, $1500 for the Runner Up and $750 for Third Place. Grosh is committed to the performing arts and believes enduring impacts will be felt by the winners and the surrounding communities as well. (An in-depth study on youth arts programs in Canada showed every $1 invested yields about $4 in social benefit for all stakeholders.)

The Grosh team was delighted by the creativity from the hundreds of applicants in the inaugural Grosh Cares program. They are now excited to announce the 2020 Grosh Cares Grants for the Performing Arts program. Grosh will be awarding $5000 in grants and the winners will be announced by January 17, 2020 so funds can be used for spring and summer productions. Applications are open now through November 1st, 2019.
