Fontinalis Partners Elevates Two Principals to Partner Roles and Welcomes New Operations Team Member
DETROIT and BOSTON (PRWEB) June 29, 2023 -- Fontinalis Partners (http://www.fontinalis.com), a venture capital firm that pioneered investing in early-stage companies focused on enabling efficient and sustainable movement, today announces the promotion of two individuals—Dan Ratliff and Gabe Cunningham—to the role of Partner, and the addition of a new member to the operations team.
- Dan Ratliff, based in Detroit, joined Fontinalis in 2014 after starting his career in investment banking. Over the last nine years at Fontinalis, Dan has been an active member of the investment team, leading or co-leading several of the firm’s active investments including where he currently serves as Fontinalis’ board observer such as CelLink, Sibros, Carputty, and ChipFlow. Dan also led Fontinalis’ pre-seed and seed investments in Drivly, and he previously served as a board observer to Ouster (NYSE: OUST) prior to its public listing in early 2021. He has additionally played a key role in scaling the firm’s operations as it has launched subsequent investment funds. Dan earned his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Vanderbilt University and Michigan State University, respectively.
- Gabe Cunningham, based in the New York metro area, joined Fontinalis in 2014 through the Venture for America program after starting his career with roles at The White House and in investment banking. While attending Harvard Business School, Gabe worked at Improbable in London and later rejoined Fontinalis in 2018 to help ambitious founders build companies of lasting significance. Gabe has led Fontinalis’ investments in Halo Industries, Atomic Semi, Auto Motive Power (AMP), Hgen, Loop, Mitra Chem, Robust.AI, and Unfolded (acquired by Foursquare), in addition to others still in stealth. He also sourced Fontinalis’ seed investment in nuTonomy (acquired by Aptiv and now known as Motional)

Tanya recently relocated to the U.S. after 15 years of investor relations leadership with Horizon Capital, a leading private equity firm with $1.4 billion of committed capital that invests in growth-oriented IT/tech companies in Emerging Europe. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University and National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
