For 9th Year, Greenberg Traurig is Tops for First-Tier Rankings in 'Best Law Firms' Report
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP received the most overall first-tier rankings in the U.S. News - Best Lawyers 2020 "Best Law Firms" report. This marks the ninth consecutive year that the firm has achieved this honor.
NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP received the most overall first-tier rankings in the U.S. News – Best Lawyers 2020 "Best Law Firms" report. This marks the ninth consecutive year that the firm has achieved this honor. Additionally, the firm was recognized as "Law Firm of the Year" for Trademark Law -- only one firm is named as such for select nationally ranked practice areas.
Overall, Greenberg Traurig received the most first-tier rankings in the United States for administrative/regulatory law, commercial litigation, corporate law, and real estate law. Earlier in 2019, for 13th consecutive year, Greenberg Traurig was honored to have more attorneys include in the related Best Lawyers in America 2020 edition than any other law firm listed.
According to U.S. News – Best Lawyers, firms included in the 2020 "Best Law Firms" are recognized for "professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers." According to the publication, achieving a tiered ranking "signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise." U.S. News – Best Lawyers reported receiving more than one million law firm assessments from more than 16,000 attorneys and received over 100,000 evaluations from nearly 12,000 clients.
Overall, the publication reviewed nearly 15,000 U.S. law firms across 75 national practices. According to the U.S. News – Best Lawyers, the 2020 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record. To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 5% of practicing attorneys in the United States.
