Free People Invites You to A New Escape in Malibu
PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) July 13, 2018 -- FP Escapes are bespoke experiences curated by Free People to foster connection within their community. The brand travels near and far to celebrate wellness, mindfulness and the women in their community. A few recent FP Escapes include: a healing and restorative weekend in the Berkshires, exploring Phang Nha bay in Thailand with the Sailing Collective, and a hiking excursion through Glacier National Park in Montana.
The brand’s latest venture is to Malibu during the last weekend of July for a community-based farm Escape that gives back to Girls Inc. Customers will be able to choose to come just for the dinner or to stay the entire weekend. The proceeds from both packages will be donated to Girls Inc. a non-profit organization that provides a safe third space outside of home and school for girls in inner city communities. This is Free People’s third year supporting Girls Inc through community programming, advocacy, and financial donations. The proceeds from this Escape will help to directly fund nutritional and wellness programming for the girls of Girls Inc.
“FP Escapes is our ongoing creative community project, and we’ve shaped the Malibu Escape to both connect and give back to our community. Girls Inc is an ongoing partnership close to our hearts and we’re thrilled to continue supporting them along with so many other inspiring and creative women,” says Julie Verdugo, Free People’s Associate Director of Experiential Marketing.
The dinner experience, “An Evening at Malibu Fig Tree Ranch”, will be on Saturday July 28th. Free People will host a plant-based dinner for 100 guests created by Caitlin Sullivan and Kacie Carter, the chefs at LA restaurant Honey Hi, at the female owned, organic farm. Upon arrival, guests will receive an assortment of beauty and wellness gifts before embarking on an educational farm tour by farmer, Kerry Clasby . Plant-based cocktail will be provided by Oaxaca-sourced and women-owned Yola Mezcal, founded by Yola Jimenez, musician Lykke Li and Gina Correll Aglietti. The evening then truly cumulates around the dinner table where they’ll connect with their community, eat food grown on the farm, and learn about the importance of local farming. Following the dinner will be a moonlit performance by musician Ashe.
The weekend experience, “A Weekend at Native Hotel Malibu”, will span from July 27th-July 29th. This ticket includes a 2-night stay at the Native Hotel, a welcome reception serving Philadelphia based Quaker City Shrubs, a mindfulness practice with Jess Naim, an ayurvedic workshop with Julie Bernier, and stand-up paddle boarding around Point Dume. Additional supporting partners include Frankie + Jo's Vegan ice cream, Camp'd Out tents, Lyft, SuperGoop natural beauty products, and Healthade Kombucha.
Dinner tickets are on sale for $95 and weekend tickets start at $485. Customers can purchase tickets for either experience and find out more information here: https://www.freepeople.com/escape-to-malibu/ To keep this Escape intimate for guests, space will be limited!
