SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Yesterday Empire Solar Group joined the ranks with Microsoft, Under Armour, and Patagonia, as one INC 5000's Fastest Growing Companies in America. Empire Solar Group, a young solar installation company based in Salt Lake City, UT, ranked no. 620 on the Inc. 5000 annual list, and has seen an average growth rate of 760% since its founding in 2017.

Despite the economic challenges facing the U.S., Empire continues to grow during the pandemic. This month, Empire added three new states to their market base; Ohio, Kentucky, and Kansas, totaling 14 states. Empire adds to their 400+ person national team substantially each month, citing 137 new hires in July and 65 positions currently open. Empire CEO, Abby Buchmiller said in a statement that she could hardly believe her ears upon hearing that Empire had earned an Inc. 5000 rating.

Before its inception, Empire Solar Group's parent company R&J Technical services faced sharp drops in the price of oil in 2016. Abby Buchmiller, CEO of Empire, saw an opportunity to take their expertise in oilfield services, and pivot toward green technology. Together with husband Steve Buchmiller, and sister Amanda Roseburg, the team developed and created Empire Solar Group.
