Geoff Ballotti, President & CEO, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts To Unveil Company’s Growing Resort Strategy in the Mediterranean In A Special One-On-One Session At MR&H
ATHENS, Greece (PRWEB) August 27, 2018 -- Ahead of this year’s 4th annual Mediterranean Resort & Hotel Real Estate Forum (MR&H), Geoff Ballotti, President & CEO, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts shared his insights on emerging Mediterranean markets, major trends in hotel investment and development in the region and finding the right partners for growth in this exclusive Q&A.
A unique tourism and business destination, the Mediterranean is a major attraction for investors and developers in search for new projects. MR&H will provide hospitality investors and key market stakeholders a complete overview of the region’s different investment climates, regulatory frameworks and targeted opportunities through keynote presentations, interactive discussions and interviews such as Ballotti’s, “In the Hotel Operator Hot Seat: Global CEO One-on-One.” With the recent addition of the word ‘Resorts’ to the company name, Ballotti is geared up to share how important this segment is and the development opportunities it brings.
MR&H will be held in Greece, which happens to be a new market for Wyndham. The company entered the market in December of 2016 with the opening of Wyndham Grand Athens and has since added seven properties within the country to its portfolio. “The entire team is excited to attend as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for the first time ever. We believe with our breadth of brands there is so much opportunity in the region, and we’re looking forward to continued growth,” says Ballotti.
When asked which markets the company is eyeing, Ballotti mentioned Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Turkey. In particular, “Turkey is a key market for us. Not only is it the sixth largest market for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts globally, but we also are proud to be the largest international hotel group in Turkey. As of July 2018, we have 67 hotels all across this market. We are committed to maintaining our leading position through sustained expansion in this dynamic market.”
The 2.5 day MR&H programme will also include roundtable discussions covering the major markets in the region, including Greece, Italy and Turkey. Another key area for discussion and networking at the conference will be identifying and forging relationships with the right local partners. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts partnered with local hotel management and consulting firm, Zeus International to open Wyndham Grand Athens. “Overall, finding the right partner is crucial for a number of reasons. From identifying the right locations when entering a new market, to operating successfully, and very importantly ensuring guests have a great brand experience, with the right service and attention they deserve. Ultimately, successful partnerships of this nature not only benefit the businesses involved, but the local economy and the country as a whole,” says Ballotti.
Meet with Ballotti and 300 senior leaders across the hospitality and tourism sectors at MR&H, from 17-19 October 2018 at The Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso in Athens, Greece. The Advanced Rate is available through 7 September 2018, so we encourage you to secure your seat today.
