Gilbane Building Company tapped to build new North Branford High School
New state-of-the-art facility to be built in multiple phases.
NORTH BRANFORD, Ct., June 24, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gilbane Building Company has been selected by the Town of North Branford to provide construction management at-risk services for the new,106,100-SF North Branford High School.
Designed by QA+M Architecture, the new facility will accommodate 524 high school students and feature spaces for learning commons, science labs, engineering and technology, culinary arts, media center, arts and music, a gymnasium, and a cafeteria. The school will be constructed in multiple phases over a 30-month period to accommodate for the operations of the existing high school, set to be demolished after construction. The team has developed strict safety and logistics measures to ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding community and student safety is paramount.
"Our team is thrilled to partner with the Town of North Branford to deliver this new facility for the town's students," said John Hawley, vice president and Connecticut business unit leader for Gilbane. "Our experience as a leading K-12 builder will help ensure this project is completed efficiently with the highest quality and safety standards."
