Greenberg Traurig Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer Named to JA Atlanta Business Hall of Fame
Greenberg Traurig Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer, will be inducted into the 2022 Junior Achievement (JA) Atlanta Business Hall of Fame during the organization's ceremony Feb. 26.
ATLANTA, Feb. 24, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Greenberg Traurig Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer, will be inducted into the 2022 Junior Achievement (JA) Atlanta Business Hall of Fame during the organization's ceremony Feb. 26. This honor follows a year of recognitions for Greer, including receiving the 2021 Legacy Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, 2021 CEO of the Year by The Atlanta Business League, and being named to Georgia Trend's 2022 100 Most Influential Georgians.

The 32nd annual event will recognize Greer and former Georgia State University President Dr. Mark Becker as they join the list of laureates who have supported Atlanta's community through business leadership and professional and civic achievements. The Atlanta Business Chronicle and JA of Georgia established the JA Atlanta Business Hall of Fame to recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the community, according to its website.
Greer is one of few African American executives at an Am Law 20 firm. As co-president of the $2 Billion+ global firm, he is a key member of Greenberg Traurig's leadership. He is dedicated to continuing to shape the firm's brand as a collaborative law firm providing high-quality legal work and excellent service to clients and the communities it serves. Greer also serves as chairman of the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Previously, he served as vice president of the firm, co-chair of the U.S. Strategic Committee, and the Atlanta office's managing shareholder.
Greer is an outstanding leader and champion for his community. He uses his global position to reflect the firm's commitment to giving back to communities in which they live and work. Greer also served as the chairman of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce in 2014, where he was the first lawyer to serve in this capacity in the Chamber's more than 100-year history.
Greer's leadership, accomplishments, and legal practice have been recognized by many industry publications and organizations.
