Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Danielle N. Garno Appointed to the Advisory Board of Istituto Marangoni
MIAMI (PRWEB) April 25, 2019 -- Danielle N. Garno, a shareholder in the Miami Litigation Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. and chair of the Beacon Council’s Creative Design Committee, was appointed to the advisory board of the Milan-based Istituto Marangoni, a center of professional and creative learning in the fashion, art, and design fields.
With a wide range of educational options including preparatory, three-year undergraduate and master’s courses, Istituto Marangoni’s mission focuses on training the professionals of tomorrow in key fashion sectors such as design, communication and managerial coordination. The institute has schools in international capitals of fashion and design, including London, Paris, Shanghai, Milan, Florence, Shenzhen, Mumbai and, most recently, Miami.
“The presence of Istituto Marangoni in Miami testifies to our community’s growing reputation as an international hub for the arts that creates endless possibilities for the people who live and create here,” Garno said. “I am excited to be part of such an influential organization and look forward to what the institute will accomplish in Miami.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Garno focuses her practice on issues related to the fashion community including startup phase and commercial advice, intellectual property such as trademark and copyright infringement, social media marketing, advertising, anti-counterfeiting, as well as employment and general business litigation. She also handles complex civil litigation matters with an emphasis on white-collar defense and fraud actions. Her white-collar practice includes defending corporations against federal and state indictments, as well as internal investigations and negotiations with various federal and state agencies.
Garno represents fashion clients of all sizes from start-ups to multi-national global brands, helping them navigate through legal issues, as well as counseling them on growing and sustaining a successful brand.
She is also actively involved with a number of professional and community organizations. Garno sits on the board of trustees of the YoungArts Foundation and is counsel to Style Saves, a non-profit that raises funds through fashion-focused events to provide underprivileged students with back-to-school necessities.
