Greenberg Traurig Strategically Expands Denver-Based Employment Practice with Four Preeminent Attorneys
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP expanded its Labor & Employment Practice in Denver with the addition of four attorneys.

Hannah Caplan and Martine Tariot Wells joined as shareholders, and Julie Mitarotondo joined as an associate. This team was previously with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP's Denver office. Also, Rebecca Hudson joined Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder; she was formerly with Holland & Hart's Denver office. The attorneys join shareholder David J. Stein who recently joined the firm's Chicago office and will be part of the Labor & Employment Practice.

Caplan focuses on providing advice and counsel to employers navigating sensitive legal issues with employees, leading employment support on corporate transactions, and drafting agreements and policies for employees. She is a highly experienced employment attorney who combines significant courtroom experience with extensive transactional knowledge and skills to represent clients of all sizes. For more than a decade, she has counseled businesses across industries nationwide to develop risk-mitigation solutions. Caplan received a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Villanova University.
Hudson, who counsels employers on all aspects of employee benefits, has extensive experience in the design and implementation of tax-qualified retirement plans, welfare plans, and executive compensation plans. She frequently advises companies with respect to compensation and benefit issues in corporate events, including mergers, joint ventures, and buy/sell transactions, as well as post-merger benefit matters, implementation of new plans, and evaluation of future benefit issues. Hudson received a J.D. and an LL.M. in Tax from the University of Denver, a M.Ed. from the College of William and Mary, and an A.B. With Honors from the University of Michigan.
Wells has more than a decade of experience representing employers in all workforce-related matters. While her goal is to help employers avoid disputes, when necessary, she defends employers in all varieties of employment litigation, including class, collective action, and individual lawsuits involving current and former employees. In addition, she represents clients on wage and hour claims, including off-the-clock, unpaid overtime, tip pools and credits, and misclassification claims arising under the FLSA, the Colorado wage laws and COMPS, and other states' laws. Wells also represents employers in discrimination, wrongful termination, and non-compete/non-solicit litigation and is well versed with managing e-discovery issues, experts, and appeals. She received a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a B.S. from Northwestern University.
Mitarotondo focuses her practice on employment law, including complex litigation, and has experience advising on a broad spectrum of matters, providing corporate diligence support, assisting with layoffs and single terminations, and ensuring client compliance with employee policies. Her experience includes litigation in state and federal courts, as well as international arbitration. She received a J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Tufts University.
