HEXA Coworking Completes Addition of 700 Panel Solar Farm
HEXA Coworking has just added a 700 panel, $1 million solar farm to the roof of the 45,000 sq. ft. building.
RICHARDSON, Texas, June 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- HEXA, which is located in Richardson's Innovation Quarter, contracted with Good Faith Energy, to design and deploy the system, which will produce over 370,000 kWh annually and offset electricity usage by nearly 90%.
The switch to solar also reduces annual greenhouse gas emissions by the equivalent of over 650,000 miles driven by an average passenger vehicle, or nearly 4,500 tree seedlings grown over a ten-year period.
"HEXA Coworking is fully committed to fostering innovation, supporting game-changing technologies, growing a strong, tight-knit community of entrepreneurs, and promoting environmental consciousness," said HEXA founder and CEO Mark Hamdan. "This is an important milestone in our growth because it advances all four of our core values."
While this sizable project represents a major step in advancing renewable energy use in the DFW Metroplex, HEXA plans to expand our initial investment with the future addition of solar canopies in the facility's parking lot.
