Harris Teeter Launches ‘I’m the Type’ Round Up Campaign to Support JDRF
MATTHEWS, N.C. (PRWEB) February 27, 2019 -- Harris Teeter announced today the launch of a point-of-sale campaign to support JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The “I’m the Type” campaign encourages individuals to customize their “type” and to spread awareness about the need to drive T1D research forward while celebrating the inherent strength and resilience of individuals affected by T1D.
Visitors to ImtheType.com are invited to share their personal story, use a variety of campaign social media filters, take actions on behalf of the T1D community by joining JDRF’s advocacy efforts to help others understand the cumulative burden of living with the disease.
Now through April 23, Harris Teeter shoppers are invited to round up their transaction to the nearest whole dollar at checkout; 100 percent of funds raised will be donated to local JDRF chapters throughout Harris Teeter marketing areas. In addition, Harris Teeter’s vendor partner, Talking Rain Beverage Company, the makers of Sparkling Ice®, pledges to match Round Up donations up to $15,000.
Similar community-based campaigns hosted by Harris Teeter have raised more than $1 million; the Company is proud to support JDRF and is thankful for both the involvement of its associates and its customers.
