Healthy Living Market Announces New Location and Invites Town of Shelburne to Partner on New Fire and Rescue Station
Healthy Living Market announces plans for third store location in Shelburne, Vermont.
BURLINGTON, Vt., Feb. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Healthy Living Market & Cafe today announced plans to open its third store in Shelburne, VT. This will be the company's second location in Vermont; the flagship location is located on Dorset Street in South Burlington, the other in Saratoga Springs, NY.
The new location will bring a full-service natural foods supermarket and cafe to the Shelburne community. Healthy Living is known for having the most stringent product ingredient standards of any grocery store in the area and for its commitment to working with local growers, brands, producers and farmers.
Healthy Living has entered into an agreement with the Carroll family to purchase Lot #6 of the Rice Lumber redevelopment. Healthy Living plans a new 18,000-square-foot market and café on the property. Lot #6 is located immediately adjacent to Shelburne Commons with which it will share the existing traffic signal opposite Longmeadow Drive.
Lot #6 has more land than needed for Healthy Living's project. In seeking another user to share the site, Healthy Living learned that the fire and rescue departments were considering a new location where they could be jointly housed and that would have superior road access to the town. They had identified Lot #6 as their preferred location. Subsequently Healthy Living has been working with the Town on the concept of sharing Lot #6. Healthy Living's planned store in Shelburne will offer a salad and hot prepared foods bar, organic juice and smoothie station, fresh sushi prepared on-site, as well as Healthy Living's award-winning produce and meat selections and more.
Healthy Living hopes to complete plans and obtain all required permits over the next year and to be under construction in 2020.
