LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The highly-anticipated movie, '20 MINUTES' starts principal photography in February 2019 and already is getting tremendous buzz as over 10,000 actors are expected to submit to play a role in the film.
Directed by Tim Chey, the film is about an incoming ballistic missile to Hawaii that changes twelve people's lives when they discover they have 20 minutes to live.
"It's incredible to think what would happen if you had 20 minutes to live," says Chey. "For these twelve people, they come from all different backgrounds and politics. And in the end they realize that what they thought was important was really not."
The buzz on the film is that it also comes on the heels of the ballistic missile warning in Hawaii in 2018 that caused many to think of their eternal destiny.
"I was in Hawaii when the missile warning came," says Chey. "Thank God I was asleep. But my wife was awake and she told me it was the most surreal experience as she really thought we could all die."
The characters in the film range from an attorney to a film producer to a white nationalist to a Japanese billionaire – all seeking refuge as the missile approaches.
The film, from RiverRain Productions, is slated to hit theaters nationwide in February 2020.
Tim Chey also produced the movies 'Freedom' (Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Sharon Leal) for Showtime TV, and directed Sony Pictures 'Slamma Jamma' (Michael Irvin, Chris Staples) which had a national theater release on March 24, 2017. The film hit 502 theaters in 281 cities across the U.S.
