Horizons Edge Sports Campus Announces General Manager
HARRISONBURG, Va., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- One of the newest, most unique multi-purpose sports campuses in the nation, Horizons Edge Sports Campus, spearheaded by the Endless Horizons and Sports Facilities Management (SFM), has hired General Manager, Jeff Flammang. Flammang is an experienced youth sports industry leader who has held many positions in the field, including most recently as the COO and General Manager of two fitness facilities in Charleston, SC.
The hiring process was a selective and lengthy nation-wide talent search led by SFM, the sports tourism and recreation management firm headquartered in Clearwater, FL. The team at SFM is confident in Flammang's abilities to run the facility that will service the unique destination of Harrisonburg with a focus in youth and amateur travel sports and family recreation in Virginia's 'Friendly City'.

The facility, opening in August 2019, will be a unique, retreat-like indoor sports campus catering to travel sports programs and local family recreation throughout the D.C. Metro area. The project is located on 50 acres of privately-owned land in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with access to trails and outdoor activities. The facility, that is a new venture for the already thriving overnight camp location, will feature 4 indoor courts to service basketball and volleyball, 2 turf fields, a play-climb area, dorms and cabins with 128 beds and a recreational lodge. Sitting in a lush, mountainous property, the sports campus is an ideal retreat for athletes and families alike in the D.C. corridor.
