IHMM Announces New Executive Director
Robert A. West, CHMM, and Chair of the Board of the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management [IHMM] today announced that IHMM's Board of Directors had appointed Eugene A Guilford, Jr. to the position of Executive Director, effective immediately.

West, CHMM, and Chair of the Board of the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management [IHMM] today announced that IHMM's Board of Directors had appointed Eugene A Guilford, Jr. to the position of Executive Director, effective immediately.
For over thirty years the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management, a non-profit organization founded in 1984, has been protecting the environment and the public's health, safety and security through the administration of credentials recognizing professionals who have demonstrated a high level of knowledge, expertise, and excellence in the management of hazardous materials.
Over 16,000 homeland security, environmental protection, engineering, health sciences, transportation, and public safety professionals have earned IHMM's accredited Certified Hazardous Materials Manager [CHMM] credential. IHMM also administers the Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner [CHMP] and the Certified Dangerous Goods Professional [CDGP] credentials.

Bob and Gene recently returned from the 2018 China Petroleum and Chemical International Conference [CPCIC], in Chengdu, China, sponsored by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation [CPCIF], the United Nations Environment Programme, and the International Council of Chemical Associations. IHMM has reached agreement with the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation to bring the Certified Dangerous Goods Professional [CDGP] credentials to China, and its first group of dangerous goods professionals expects to undergo testing and certification during the first week of November, 2018.
