NEW YORK, and CHICAGO, Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Inc. magazine and Grant Thornton LLP unveiled their inaugural list of "Private Titans" in Inc.'s October 2018 issue. The list comprises private companies that have reached the threshold of $250 million in annual sales but continue to grow, remain relevant and thrive.

The Private Titans list, compiled with help from research platform Pitchbook, is based on a measurement of each company's sales and employee growth, as well as the reach and influence of its social media.

Some Titans are iconic companies that have been around since the mid-nineteenth century, while others are startups that have existed for less than a decade. The list includes family-owned businesses and companies representing industries such as technology, manufacturing, financial services, food and hospitality, fashion, entertainment and more.
