Information Transport Solutions, Inc. Donates to The Elmore County High School Alumni Committee Scholarship Fund
Information Transport Solutions, Inc. (ITS), a Uniti company, announced today they donated $500 to the Elmore County High School Alumni Committee for scholarship fund purposes.
MONTGOMERY, Ala., March 23, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Information Transport Solutions, Inc. (ITS), a Uniti company, announced today they donated $500 to the Elmore County High School Alumni Committee for scholarship fund purposes.
The Elmore County High School Alumni Committee held the 2020 ECHS Alumni Ball on February 28th at the Eclectic Warehouse. All of the proceeds from the ball go towards the scholarship fund. "We want to give back to our high school, so we decided to start a scholarship fund with the proceeds from the ball," Amanda Hughes, ECHS Alumni Association committee member, said. "Our plan going forward is to hold this event yearly."
Proceeds from the ball totaled $2,000. The organization plans to give two $1,000 scholarships to one male and one female graduating senior at Elmore County High School. ECHS will have a committee meeting to decide what to do with the additional funds. Steve Meany, CEO of ITS, added, "Supporting our community is important to ITS and this opportunity through ECHS alumni association is a great way for us to elevate the lives of students right here in Elmore County."
