ST. LOUIS, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Intalere, the healthcare industry leader in delivering optimal cost, quality and clinical outcomes, today announced an enhanced Operational Continuity & Emergency Management Program covering mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery resources related to emergency operations.
"Intalere has long recognized the importance of helping its members retain operational continuity throughout various types of disasters," said Stacey Winston, vice president, program management, Intalere. "During 2018, we have worked to broaden our ability to assist members through an enhanced comprehensive program that boosts preparedness in all stages of emergency operations through direct support and resources."
According to Winston, Intalere members have already benefitted from the enhanced program through rapid response to recent needs in North Carolina and continued services to those still dealing with operational issues as they move to recovery.
Specific components of the program include:
- Preparedness Resources & Education – The Intalere Member Resources website provides access to a library of emergency preparedness resources, including checklists, guides, toolkits and more. These resources are updated on a continual basis, providing the most up-to-date information possible, including resources specific to epidemics, i.e. pandemic preparedness.
- Direct Emergency Support – Intalere has experience with providing significant assistance in disaster situations and is available to assist in securing critically needed supplies during or after an emergency event. To better serve our members, Intalere has established a formal Incident Command Group (ICG) to serve as a supervisory body responsible for directing emergency response operations. The ICG coordinates with supplier partners to deploy critically needed supplies or services to members in need during or after an emergency event. Additionally, the ICG will on occasion reach out to members to remind them of this service when a natural disaster is imminent in their region.
- Emergency Management Contract Portfolio – Through our supplier partners, Intalere offers essential products and services to help prepare for and recover from emergency incidents. The Emergency Management contract portfolio features products and services commonly used in emergencies.
- Accreditation Readiness – The Intalere Survey and Accreditation Readiness Consulting solution provides best practices and assistance to help meet the Emergency Preparedness Condition of Participation as set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
