Intalere Strategic Marketing Affiliates Join Forces as Health Resource Services Purchases Shared Purchasing Solutions
Intalere, the healthcare industry leader in delivering optimal cost, quality and clinical outcomes, today announced the Intalere affiliate structure will experience a slight adjustment, as two of Intalere's largest Strategic Marketing Affiliates, Health Resource Services, LLC (HRS) and Shared Purchasing Solutions (SPS), have joined forces. Effective June 28, 2019, HRS purchased SPS, which was previously owned by seven hospitals in the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Western Region.

LOUIS, July 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Intalere, the healthcare industry leader in delivering optimal cost, quality and clinical outcomes, today announced the Intalere affiliate structure will experience a slight adjustment, as two of Intalere's largest Strategic Marketing Affiliates, Health Resource Services, LLC (HRS) and Shared Purchasing Solutions (SPS), have joined forces. Effective June 28, 2019, HRS purchased SPS, which was previously owned by seven hospitals in the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Western Region.
HRS is an Intalere strategic marketing affiliate and a division of Virginia Mason Medical Center, based in Seattle, Washington. SPS, a regional group purchasing organization and Intalere affiliate since 1996, was previously owned by seven hospitals in the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Western Region.
"SPS member facilities will continue to see the same great pricing and service they have been accustomed to. The HRS and SPS cultures are very similar, with both having a strong focus on delivering the highest level of member service, support and benefits," said Ken Freeman, Vice President, Virginia Mason Medical Center. "The goal of HRS is to enhance the value and benefits the SPS membership realizes from their use of the Intalere programs and to grow the organization's footprint to bring further collaborative value."
As part of the new structure the company will continue to operate as Shared Purchasing Solutions with all current agreements remaining in place. Healthcare providers affiliated with SPS will remain as Intalere members in good standing and continue to be entitled to existing SPS and Intalere pricing, with service to SPS members being maintained and enhanced through their current team, which has been retained, with further support from the HRS and Intalere teams.
