Introducing the BIXOLON XD5 Series of Desktop Label Printers

Featuring a compact, robust design with optional LCD Display and outstanding performance for medium volume printing applications.
The XD5-40d is the first model being brought to market from this mid-tier series, featuring a distinctive similar look with XD3 and XT5 series. This new 4-inch (118mm) direct thermal desktop label printer is available in 203dpi and 300dpi configurations; the XD5-40d and XD5-43d respectively. The standard XD5-40d model offers fast data processing and print speeds up to 7 ips (178 mm/sec) at 203 dpi to produce high quality printing text, graphics and industry standard 1D & 2D barcodes. Supporting an optional mono LCD display with intuitive icon driven menu for easier setup. The label printer is fully compatible with market-leading programming languages including SLCS, BPL-Z™, BPL-E™, while supporting Smart Switch Programming Language.
The XD5-series supports a media roll diameter up to 127 mm, with USB v2.0 and USB Host interfaces as standard. Plus optional Serial, 10/100 Ethernet, internal MFi certified Bluetooth v4.2 (Classic and LE) and dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN. Supporting a range of receipt, label, tag and wristband media, the XD5-series includes Peeler with full-width Auto Cutter options and External Paper Supply accessory. The XD5 is compatible with label design software including BIXOLON’s own Label Artist-II™, Label Artist™ Mobile and BarTender®. While supporting comprehensive software platforms Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, Chrome and Xamarin SDK. Plus, mPrint App and mPrint Server for mobile printing, alongside XPM™ and XCM™ for web-based device management. The label printer also offers easy toolless routines for easy cleaning or maintenance of the platen roller and printhead.
