It's Wheels Up for Second Annual Dallas Bike Ride
Dallas Bike Ride Takes Places Saturday, November 3, 2018
DALLAS, Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The countdown is on until the second annual Dallas Bike Ride, an urban bike ride on closed roads throughout the heart of Dallas on Saturday, November 3. Online registration will remain open until Wednesday, October 31 at 11:59PM CST, with special group discounts and VIP packages available. A portion of proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit BikeDFW. Late registration will be available at the Packet Pickup Party at West Village (3699 McKinney Avenue) on November 1 and 2.
Back by popular demand after thousands of riders joined in 2017, participants will experience breathtaking views of Dallas and its iconic sites on closed roads throughout the fall morning. People of all cycling experience levels are encouraged to participate, including children, making it the perfect opportunity for families to spend an active morning together. With two different course distances of 20 miles and 10 miles and bike rentals available, the experience is open to novices and experts, as well as Dallas residents and tourists, alike.
Participants will again end their journey at the Methodist Dallas Finish Festival, located at the start/finish line of the Dallas Bike Ride in heart of the city at City Hall Plaza (1500 Marilla St.). Dallas Bike Ride will feature a variety of en-route entertainers. Along the route, riders can expect to see mariachi bands, local favorite Richmond Punch, the NBA Mavs Drum Line, Red Bull MXT DJ Vehicle and experience a Texas themed BBQ Pit Stop courtesy of the Slow Bone BBQ restaurant – helping those miles quite literally fly by. The Methodist Dallas Finish Festival will include activities for both participants and spectators of all ages. It will be headlined by local Texan favorite and Dallas party band "Lonestar Attitude," preceded- by DJ 2Day to keep the party and celebrations rocking all morning.
