Julius Nasso to Receive Lifetime Achievement Recognition at The Monaco World Sports Legends Award.
NEW YORK, Sept. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Acclaimed director and producer Julius Nasso will be honored at The Monaco World Sports Legends Award with a Lifetime Achievement Recognition for his work with martial arts films and artistic productions for Andrea Bocelli in China. This award comes on the heels of Mr. Nasso's recent award win at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival in Italy back in July.

Past honorees from the World Sports Legends Award, the "Oscars of Sport," include Osvaldo Ardiles, Jutta Klenschmidt, Freddie Spencer, Doctor Claudio Costa, Ayrton Senna and more.
Nasso began his career in film in the 1980's with director Sergio Leone, and honed his craft by taking classes at Cinecitta Studios in Rome. Julius went on to a 15-year producing partnership with Warner Brothers Studios prior to co-founding Manhattan Pictures and Julius R. Nasso Productions.
Prior to receiving the Lifetime Achievement Recognition from The Monaco World Sports Legends Award, Nasso earned numerous critical honors, including an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Documentary, Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Award, the Special Prize Policier Award at the Cognac Film Festival in France, and has been nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Julius is a 28-year Directors Guild of America member and a highly respected philanthropist, having been honored by countless civic leaders and institutions for his tireless charitable works. Mr. Nasso has multiple movie projects in development and is Founder of UMMSC International.
The Monaco World Sports Legends Award ceremony will take place December 6 – 7, 2019 at the Salle d'Or, Fairmont Hotel, Monaco. The WSLA Board and the WSLA Awarded committees select the candidates.
