K1 Speed Expands to Oregon With New Portland Center
IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) August 16, 2018 -- K1 Speed, the world’s premier indoor go-karting chain, is happy to announce today its first location in Oregon – K1 Speed, Portland!
K1 Speed Portland bridges the gap for northwestern racers in the Beaver State, as they previously would’ve had to drive down to California for our Sacramento location, or up to Washington for our Seattle/Redmond location – not a quick trip. Portland has been on K1 Speed’s radar for quite some time now, so the company is excited to finally open a center in town that Oregonians are going to love.
Located in Hillsboro, just a half hour from downtown Portland, this new K1 Speed center will additionally serve the communities of Beaverton, Cornelius, and Forest Grove, while still close enough to residents in Vancouver, Washington who will no longer have to make the trek to Redmond to satisfy their need for speed.
When it opens later this year, K1 Speed Portland will feature an 11-turn road-course inspired track that is guaranteed to challenge both seasoned racers and unexperienced beginners alike. Like all new K1 Speed locations, Portland will also house the latest all-electric Storm and Junior go-karts imported directly from Italy. These go-karts are capable of reaching speeds of up to 45 miles per hour, making them among the fastest indoor go-karts available today. State-of-the-art Protex barriers will line the circuit, ensuring the safest protection is offered to our visitors.
Off-track, an arcade complete with pool tables will keep racers entertained in between races, so the fun will never end. Our on-site sophisticated Paddock Lounge will serve a wide variety of appetizing food options, and refreshing beverages for racers of all ages, allowing racers to refuel before, in-between, or after. A museum-quality collection of motorsport memorabilia will be on display throughout the center for fans of the sport to discover.
Having an event at K1 Speed is always a very memorable experience for all ages, and this location will prove to be no exception. K1 Speed Portland will include two meeting rooms that will be perfect for hosting a variety of events; from birthday and bachelor(ette) parties, to company functions and corporate events.
K1 Speed Portland will become the company’s 40th location to open since it was founded in Southern California fifteen years ago.
