Key Bridge Announces White Space Service in Canada, Releases Developer API, Price List
MCLEAN, Va. (PRWEB) August 20, 2018 -- Key Bridge Wireless of McLean, VA is pleased to announce general commercial availability of our TV white space spectrum access service, providing shared spectrum access and administration throughout Canada.
“We’ve provided incumbent registration and protection without issue since receiving designation in October, 2017,” said Jesse Caulfield, Key Bridge CEO, “and we are very excited to now offer a unified spectrum access capability for the North American market.”
“I am pleased about this next step towards the availability of White Space technology as an additional broadband option for rural communities. The Government of Canada recognizes the importance of broadband, and is taking concrete action to improve access. We are committed to promoting greater competition in the telecommunications sector. White Space is another tool that smaller providers can leverage to help deliver services to Canadians” commented the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development.
TV white space frequencies are available for unlicensed use at locations where channels are presently used by licensed services, such as television broadcasting and professional audio plus video production.
