Lake Road Advisors, a financial planning firm in Upstate New York, has hired Kevin Burns as an Associate Advisor.

In November 2019, Burns joined the firm's Founder, Paul Sydlansky, CFP®, in his mission to help families build a plan to feel confident about their financial future.
In 2016, Sydlansky founded Lake Road Advisors to provide expert financial advice and education that can help families and business owners simplify their lives. Burns has spent 15 years working in the financial industry. Beginning in Och-Ziff Capital Management (now Sculptor Capital Management), Burns helped build and oversee a team for treasury operations and operational build outs. He continued with leadership roles at both The Blackstone Group and Highbridge Capital Management. During that time, Burns developed his passion for providing guidance to others. Burns wants to transfer this skillset to helping individuals and small businesses maximize their financial futures.
