Lantana Awarded Hospital Quality Initiatives Support Contract

EAST THETFORD, Vt., Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded Lantana Consulting Group a task order to continue its support of publicly available quality of care information on the Hospital Compare quality rating website. This task order is one of the first released under the new Measure & Instrument Development and Support (MIDS III) Umbrella Contract and is the continuation of an award to Lantana under MIDS II.

Lantana's experience in Hospital Quality Reporting and Hospital Compare will support CMS Hospital Quality Initiative goals across settings and throughout the full information lifecycle with an emphasis on usability under CMS direction and in alignment with legislative priorities.

CMS launched the Hospital Compare website in 2005, posting data on a set of quality measures for just over 400 hospitals. Today, Hospital Compare reports on over 100 quality measures—including process, outcome, structural, survey, and efficiency measures—for over 4,700 acute care, critical access, Veteran's Administration, and hospital outpatient departments.
