NEW YORK, July 29, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Revelation, the Webedia network's strategic content and creative agency in the United States, today announced and welcomed Lauren Levinson as Editorial Director. She will oversee the written content and messaging for revelation's client content, including SEO-driven editorial articles, email, social and more.
Managing a team of content creators, writers, editors and freelancers, Levinson will lead day-to-day editorial execution and team mentorship, while ensuring a consistently high-level output for brands like L'Oreal, Sony, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, FlashParking and more in the United States. She will report into Aviva Grinnell, revelation's Head of Creative.
"We are so fortunate and excited to bring Levinson on as a leader and mentor for our growing team," Grinnell said. "She has incredible versatility in branded storytelling, editorial strategy, creative concepting and copywriting across a 360-degree digital landscape. She also brings an impressive track record of exceeding aggressive traffic and revenue goals paired with a creative eye for purposeful content."
Levinson was most recently the Editorial Director of Spotlyte, a digital beauty and medical aesthetics editorial hub by Allergan. As the founding editor, she oversaw the creation and launch of a truly omni-channel content experience. In addition to managing the editorial team, Levinson launched viral marketing campaigns, owned all content strategy and development, and oversaw all in-house photoshoots. She also led over 400 organic social media partnerships and 300 influencer interviews. Her remit included content creation for Allergan legacy brands, Botox Cosmetics and Juvederm.
Levinson spent four years prior at POPSUGAR, working her way up to Beauty Director, and ran the entire department leading a team of editors, daily writers and freelancers. She grew site traffic on POPSUGAR Beauty's website and social channels, helped to conceptualize beauty videos, and edited over dozens of multimedia articles per day. She has also worked across beauty, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, and healthcare industries with her freelance features in top publications including Refinery 29, Byrdie, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, and New York Magazine.
"I am thrilled to join the dynamic team at revelation!" says Levinson. "I am so impressive with the high-quality work the team has done for their prestigious client roster, and I look forward to helping the team take the content to the next level. Branded content is the way of the future for editorial and revelation is at the forefront of that movement."
Levinson is a native New Yorker, has a BS in journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, grew up dancing, and still loves to take hip-hop dance classes (when she has the time). Levinson, her husband, and their newborn daughter, Gabrielle (Gigi), live in Manhattan (which explains why she doesn't always have the time).
