Lookout Mountain Incline Railway Delays Reopening for Passenger Safety & Health
The Lookout Mountain Incline Railway delays March 19th reopening.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., March 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Lookout Mountain Incline Railway will delay its grand reopening for a few weeks to an anticipated date of Saturday, March 28th.
"In our current environment, we want to ensure the utmost safety for our visitors and employees health and we have decided to delay our opening originally scheduled for March 19th," said Lisa Maragnano, Executive Director of CARTA. "We are following recommendations from the World Health Organization, Tennessee Department of Health and the CDC and we are committed to this decision, which is being shared by many attractions in our area," she added.
The Incline Railway is one of Chattanooga's most visited attractions and entertains hundreds of thousands of customers from around the world each year. The Incline Railway is celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2020 and is owned/operated by CARTA, the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority.
