MIAMI Realtors Signs 15 New Collaboration Agreements with AMPI Chapters in Mexico
MIAMI (PRWEB) December 18, 2018 -- The MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) is honored to have recently signed 15 new international collaboration agreements with local chapters of AMPI, the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals, at the 2018 AMPI National Real Estate Congress in Oaxaca, Mexico.
The new signings mean MIAMI now has 204 international partner associations worldwide, adding a record-30 partnerships in 2018. These alliances create business opportunities for MIAMI members, enhance Miami’s global position and strengthen the local economy. They also provide resources, visibility and connections for MIAMI’s international partners.

Mexico: A Top Market for South Florida Real Estate
Mexico is tied for fifth among the top foreign countries purchasing real estate in South Florida, according to the 2017 Profile of International Home Buyers of MIAMI Association of REALTORS® conducted by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and MIAMI.
Mexican citizens purchased $284 million of South Florida homes, about 4 percent of all foreign investment in the region.
Mexico has ranked among the top-tier of foreign countries buying in South Florida for seven consecutive years --- every year since 2011, when MIAMI and NAR started conducting the international survey.
In the U.S., Mexican investors have traditionally done much of their business in Texas, California and Florida, states with substantial Mexican populations. In Florida, Mexico is the 10th biggest foreign investor. It peaked in 2008 and 2009 at 2.4 percent, before falling to 0.5 percent in 2013. It was back up to 2.1 percent last year, according to Florida Realtors.
