Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Elects Eric Fraint to Board of Trustees
PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) October 30, 2018 -- The Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation has elected Eric Fraint to its Board of Trustees.
Eric, who lives in Moorestown, New Jersey, is a Certified Public Accountant and President and Founder of Your Part-Time Controller, LLC. He has served on a number of boards including nine years on the board of The Philadelphia Foundation, serving six of those years as Treasurer, and later as Chair the foundation’s Audit Committee. Eric currently serves on the board of the Grand Canyon Association. In 2017, Eric spent more than two months at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital as a patient himself, recovering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system. After being discharged from Magee’s main hospital, Eric continued outpatient therapy for about a year at Magee Riverfront.
“As a former patient with a strong background in accounting and finance, Eric brings a unique mix of skills to the Foundation Board,” Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Board Chairman Bill Conrad says. “We are thrilled that he has joined us.”
With a degree from The Wharton School, Eric founded Your Part-Time Controller in 1993. The concept of providing controller services on an as-needed basis came to life when Eric was asked by a business associate to step in part-time to handle the finances for his growing business. Eric soon realized that this was a natural solution for many small organizations. Since then, Eric’s team of accounting professionals has provided accounting, financial reporting, financial consulting, bookkeeping, strategic planning, controllership and CFO services, and other financial-related services to their clients, with a specialization in the nonprofit sector.
Eric teaches and speaks on the subject of nonprofit financial management and served on the faculty of the Fels Institute for Government at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a columnist for the publication Nonprofit Issues and won an award from SmartCEO Magazine for having one of the 100 Best-Run Companies.
