Marketing Maven Founder Named an “Enterprising Woman of the Year”
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) February 05, 2019 -- Lindsey Carnett, CEO and President of bicoastal, award-winning public relations firm Marketing Maven, has been named a winner of the 2019 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, an annual tribute to the world’s top women entrepreneurs.
Honorees will be recognized at the 17th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration and Conference, to be held from Sunday, March 24 to Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Carnett and Marketing Maven were cited in the “over $2 million and up to $5 million in annual sales” category. She started the firm in 2009 from her living room and now oversees the California and New York offices.

Carnett has shared her time and expertise with high school and college educators in Ventura County by discussing the skills necessary for educators to train students for careers in marketing. She has volunteered her time with California Lutheran University by participating in the Careers in Communications events, Backpacks to Briefcases events as well as speaking on Student Athlete Society panels. She also serves as Professional Adviser to the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) California Lutheran University Chapter. She has hosted a Communications workshop at Children's Hospital Los Angles to train administrative interns about best practices in verbal, non-verbal and written communications. She also provided LinkedIn training to small business owners through webinars and in person training through the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), WSource, Electronic Retailing Association, Women Presidents’ Organization and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses.
The Enterprising Women of the Year Awards is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. To win, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship and stand out as leaders in their communities. Many of the honorees also serve as leaders of the key organizations that support the growth of women’s entrepreneurship.
Award winners were recognized in seven categories this year: annual sales of more than $100 million; annual sales of more than $25 million and up to $100 million; annual sales of more than $10 million and up to $25 million; annual sales of more than $5 million and up to $10 million; annual sales of more than $2 million and up to $5 million; annual sales of more than $1 million and up to $2 million; and annual sales of up to $1 million. Finalists for the award, called Champions, were also named to the prestigious list of honorees.

During the annual “Hall of Fame Luncheon,” one woman entrepreneur will be inducted into the Enterprising Women Hall of Fame, one woman leader will receive the 2019 Advocacy Award, and one woman will be recognized with the 2019 Legacy Award.
