Earlier in 2019, MasterPeace's osMUD project to reduce IoT device vulnerabilities was recognized as a key contributor to a NIST-led consortium which endeavors to make it significantly harder for malicious actors to compromise and exploit IoT devices on a home or small-business network. A preliminary draft of the Mitigating IoT-Based DDoS practice guide, based on the osMUD project, was recently published.
