Metal Gear Solid Singer, Donna Burke, Tours US this Spring
NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 21, 2019 -- You might not know her face, but you will know her voice.
The iDroid in the Metal Gear Solid video game series, the English announcements on the Japanese "Shinkansen" bullet trains, or Angela and Claudia in the Silent Hill games. All of them are Donna Burke.
Raised in Perth, Burke was a high-school teacher until she decided to pursue her dreams as a singer/actor as she approached 30. Burke moved to Tokyo and quickly won several prominent roles in video game music and voice acting.
Burke voices Dr. Coyle, the ultimate Big Boss for Nintendo's ARMS game. In the 2015 hit video game Metal Gear Solid the Phantom Pain, Burke’s voice guides players throughout the tense 100 hour+ game as the iDroid. She also sings the epic song Sins of the Father, used to promote Metal Gear Solid worldwide.
Burke has millions of views of her songs on YouTube. Glassy Sky, featured in the cult Anime Tokyo Ghoul, now on Netflix, has been covered over 20,000 times by fans on YouTube and recently sampled on Eminem’s Kamikaze album.
Burke will perform in 2019 Metal Gear in Concert in New York on March 23, 2019 and Los Angeles on April 6, 2019. The concert features video footage from the 30 year old iconic game franchises synchronized in perfect timing with the symphony orchestra.
