Mobile Growth Association Looks Toward Future After MGS GVC 1.0 Drew 1,200 Attendees
Save the Date: MGS GVC 2.0 Coming in November
SAN DIEGO, July 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Mobile Growth Association (MGA) is excited to announce its first-ever Global Virtual Summit was a smashing success with 1,200 attendees across three days. MGS GVC 1.0 took place June 2-4, with four tracks serving Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
MGA made the decision to pursue an all-virtual strategy for 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic made it clear that gathering in large groups was unsafe for the foreseeable future and it was imperative to put people before profits. "The learning curve on producing an engaging virtual experience was steep," says MGA CEO, Jen Laloup, "but ultimately we put together three days of great content that brought together speakers and attendees from across the globe."
MGA is committed to helping keep the mobile community connected and growing during these tough times, while also helping to fight COVID-19. To that end, MGA teamed up with Mracle2020 — a 501 (c)(3) charity focused on providing PPE to frontline medical workers — to help raise money.
"As the pandemic continues, the PPE market for these critical medical supplies is hindered by a lack of trust between hospitals and suppliers, therefore we founded Mracle2020, a data-driven PPE platform to connect hospitals with quality suppliers at speed," says founder Siberia Su. MGA donated $1,000 to the cause, but the fight continues and you can still donate to Mracle2020.
Great Speakers & Sponsors Make It All Possible
Whether in-person or online, MGS events are defined by great content and a tight-knit community. "I was impressed with the rich conversations, questions, and presenters of GVC," says Harlyn Pacheco, COO of Picap. Even after three weeks, I'm hearing from GVC participants who want to become partners, talent, and future company leaders in Latam."
The MGA team worked hard to bring an interactive experience to the web. "Sharing perspectives at the Mobile Growth Summit was a memorable experience," says Sameer Somal, CEO and co-founder of Blue Ocean Global Technology. "I enjoyed the thoughtful questions and interaction with attendees. Additionally, I cherished the opportunity to network and build real relationships with other industry thought leaders."
The event was a success thanks to speakers, attendees, and, of course, sponsors. For MGS GVC 1.0, not only did a number of great sponsors step up, so did companies who provided prizes for gamification prize packs.
So, what's next for MGA? MGS GVC 2.0 in November. In the meantime, the team is working on a number of webinars, smaller events, and other resources to ensure the learning continues throughout 2020. Learn more at https://www.mobilegrowthassociation.com/
