MyBioGate Global Healthcare Innovation Competition Boston Preliminary Successfully Came to the Conclusion
The event was co-located with the China Focus @ Biotech Week Boston, a forum organized by MyBioGate, Inc. and CUBIO Innovation Center.
BOSTON, Sept. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MyBioGate Global Healthcare Innovation Competition Boston Preliminary concluded. This event was co-located with the China Focus @ Biotech Week Boston, a forum organized by MyBioGate, Inc. and CUBIO Innovation Center that promotes and facilitates cross-border investment and collaborations in healthcare innovation.
After a careful process of evaluation, twelve companies out of over 200 applications were selected to compete in Boston preliminary, mostly medical devices and biotech products. Based on the scoring and feedback provided by judges, consisting of both industrial KOLs and investors from well-known institutions, three finalists were selected out of twelve participating companies:
The First Place of preliminary goes out to Dr. Randy AuCoin, CEO of Exact Imaging (http://www.exactimaging.com), a company that developed a high-resolution micro-ultrasound system that enables real-time imaging and guided biopsies in the urological market for prostate cancer. The Second Place goes out to Dr. Ryan Shelton, CEO of PhotoniCare (http://www.photoni.care), a company building a low-cost diagnostic platform that uses light to see through tissue. The Third Place goes ot to Dr. Len Pagliaro, CEO of Dynamic Light (https:/dynamiclight.ai), developing patented algorithm and software technology using the principles of dynamic light scattering to generate 'speckle' images to enable non-invasive, real-time, continuous, and quantitative visualization of blood flow in living tissues.

As Boston Preliminary successfully concluded, the 2019 MyBioGate Competition also came to its final phase, with one more online preliminary (September 24) before the Final is held in China. Selected companies from the preliminary stage will be granted a sponsored business development trip in China, to have face-to-face meetings with executives of leading Chinese pharma, medical device companies, and investors.
"We are interested in traveling to China based on investment and commercial potential partnership. We have done a lot of work in exploring regulations, and looking for launching the product in China. Establishing entity in China and operational team based in China are definitely our goals", said Nathan Katz, CEO of Jointechlabs, one of the participating companies in Boston preliminary.
