NACD Atlanta Appoints New Board Chair, Connie Engel, and Executive Director, Marina Finnegan
The Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), has named Connie Engel, Board Chair, and Marina Finnegan, Executive Director, of NACD Atlanta.
ATLANTA, May 15, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), has named Connie Engel, Board Chair, and Marina Finnegan, Executive Director, of NACD Atlanta.
"Connie Engel is a very successful Executive and has demonstrated excellent leadership throughout her career and board service. We are very fortunate to have the benefit of her leadership and expertise as chair of the Atlanta Chapter of NACD as we continue to grow as an organization," said Milton Jones, NACD Atlanta former Chapter Co-Chair.
Connie Engel is an accomplished executive whose career spans three decades in which she has successfully led marketing and operations for IBM and leasing, marketing, and management for Childress Klein, a commercial real estate development firm in the southeast United States. As a partner in the Atlanta Office Division of Childress Klein, she has been in charge of office development and leasing at the prestigious Atlanta Galleria for over 30 years. She is past chairman and current trustee of Kennesaw State University Foundation and was inducted into the inaugural Kennesaw State University Coles College of Business Hall of Fame. She currently serves as a board member of the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority.

Marina Finnegan has a rich history in senior and executive management roles in the child welfare arena. She has previously served as an Executive Director in nonprofits in Miami and New York City and as the Director of Prevention Strategies for the Governor's Office for Children in Maryland. Marina has excelled in working collaboratively with public and private entities to meet the goals of the agencies she has represented. Her work on state-wide initiatives, such as childhood hunger, child abuse prevention, after-school programming, and childhood mental health have contributed to the increase in well-being outcomes of children. Her knowledge and expertise span program development, event management, contract compliance and negotiation and nonprofit management. Marina received a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Florida International.
Ms. Finnegan assumed the role May 1, she will manage day-to-day operations for NACD Atlanta, a leader in providing first-hand insights and world-class education that position members for long-term growth and success in the boardroom.
