LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Entrepreneurs Andrew Read and Alex Nahai have received a provisional patent and utility patent pending status for an important new technology aimed at improving the mental health of its users.
Known as TOGETHR, the technology is a complex algorithm that aims to match individuals on social media based on commonly shared mental health conditions, and that further provides the same individuals with additional insight regarding their own mental dispositions by analyzing their own potential comorbidities.
"Our hope is that by matching individuals based on where they are in terms of mental health, we can allow users to form deeper and more meaningful connections with one another," said Nahai.
Read added: "we have found that today's social media landscape is actually toxic to mental health, and so we developed this algorithm in order to change the existing paradigm."
Backed by years of clinical research and practical application, TOGETHR analyzes individuals' behaviors on social media across over 150 separate conditions and then presents those individuals with content likely to be relevant to their diagnosed (or undiagnosed) conditions, along with any potential co-morbidities.
During the second quarter of 2022, the founders of TOGETHR ran an extremely successful product validation campaign using Facebook as a method of gauging the interest of potential users. Advertisements for the technology generated a cost per lead of $2.01 USD, approximately ten times better than the technology industry average of almost $20.00 USD per lead. Furthermore, click through rates for the campaign were just over 2%, again twice the technology industry average click through rate for similar advertisements.
With offices in Los Angeles and London, the executive team of TOGETHR plan to publicly launch the technology in 12 months' time.
