LAS VEGAS, Nov. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Seventy-two-year-old John Michael Ferrari was honored with "Outstanding Male Singer Songwriter 2019," by the Producers Choice Honors Legends Series, during the Las Vegas F.A.M.E. Awards. The event was held November 13, 2019, in the beautiful Moorish decor Club Madrid in the Sunset Station Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Founder and Executive Producer Al Bowman, of the F.A.M.E. Awards, presented John Michael Ferrari with the stunning "Outstanding Male Singer Songwriter" Award. John Michael performed two of his recent originals for the Club Madrid audience; "One Heck of a Girl" and "Like a Rock and Roll Band," with band members: vocalists Katie Jensen and Carol Champney, John Nowins aka Sexy Sticks on drums and Brad Torchin on bass.

John Michael has been writing songs for a lifetime. "Dustoff," written by John in 1966 while serving in the United States Army in VietNam, honors the Dustoff, the Army helicopter that picks up the wounded and dead after a firefight. The Dustoff Association still retains "Dustoff" on its site, with a photo of John playing a 1966 guitar in South VietNam.

Today, John Michael Ferrari writes emotional story-telling cross-genre / alt country / pop / Christian songs with touches of sophistication, raw edged reality, and child-like wonder.
