Martin Markinson owned and operated the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway from 1979 until its sale in 2015. He also operated the Wadsworth Theatre and Brentwood Theatre in Los Angeles and the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He produced and co-produced more than 40 plays and musicals since 1975 for Broadway and throughout the United States, spending time in Hollywood producing two movies. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Maui, Hawaii, with his lovely wife of 56 years, Arlena.
