New State-Funded EVV System Will Help Texas Providers Remain Compliant with State and Federal EVV Laws
HHAeXchange will provide Texas homecare agencies with the resources needed to improve compliance and health outcomes
NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- HHAeXchange, a leading provider of homecare management solutions for providers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and state Medicaid agencies, announced today the company has been selected to serve as the subcontractor in providing the state-funded Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system in Texas. HHAeXchange's EVV solution – serving both Agency and Consumer-Directed Services (CDS) providers – is scheduled to go live Oct. 1, 2023, at no cost to providers.
The HHAeXchange platform will enable homecare providers to easily meet Texas state requirements, offering a streamlined experience for both back-office staff and service providers. In addition, Texas providers will benefit by leveraging the HHAeXchange Portal for workflow efficiencies such as schedule management, simple data migration from past years, seamless submission of homecare visits to the EVV Aggregator and the direct submission of EVV-compliant claims.
As part of the contract, HHAeXchange's Portal will be available at no cost to program providers, financial management services agencies (FMSAs), and Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employers. Beginning in July and running through August, HHAeXchange will host caregivers and agency owners at multiple information sessions that will include a demonstration of the HHAeXchange Portal, an overview of the transition and answers to any questions providers might have about the new EVV system.

Approximately 250,000 Medicaid beneficiaries receive in-home personal care services that are currently subject to EVV or will be as of Jan. 1, 2024. As the state-funded EVV vendor, HHAeXchange will support approximately 235,000 homecare service providers and 18,000 Consumer Directed Services employers.
