New Younger Geospatial Professional of the Year Award Announced

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On May 21-23, 2019, SPAR 3D Expo & Conference will take place alongside AEC Next Technology Expo + Conference for the second time, bringing 3D and AEC industry professionals together again. In anticipation of this gathering, organizers are excited to launch the inaugural edition of the Younger Geospatial Professional (YGP) of the Year Award program in cooperation with Lidar News and Leica Geosystems to recognize budding talent from younger geospatial professionals.

Gene Roe, Managing Editor for Lidar News, stated of the award, "The Younger Geospatial Professional Award is a unique opportunity for an individual to engage with 3D professionals from around the world, while demonstrating their knowledge and leadership to their peers. Younger Geospatial Professionals are encouraged to nominate themselves via a 2.5 to 3-minute video, explaining the following:

• Educational background and work history
• Professional accomplishments to date
• How you will encourage others to pursue excellence and leadership in their geospatial careers
• A brief overview of a presentation you would present at SPAR 3D Expo & Conference if selected

Employers and mentors are welcome to support this program by encouraging a YGP they know to submit their video. The YGP of the Year will receive a Full Conference Pass to SPAR 3D Expo & Conference plus three nights of free lodging and complimentary airfare to attend. The winner will also be given a brief presentation opportunity as part of the conference program to address conference attendees.
