New book follows three young Aussies as they discover Atlantis
Bob Hodge announces publication of 'The Grandkids' Guide to Atlantis'
SYDNEY, Nov. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Readers can follow three cousins on the adventure of a lifetime to find long-lost magical Atlantis, in the new book "The Grandkids' Guide to Atlantis" (published by Balboa Press AU) by Bob Hodge. They begin the journey stuck in personal problems, Atlantis an unwanted distraction. But Aboriginal Chris discovers startling links to Atlantis. Demi finds inspiration for her troubled life from the Goddess. Alex's "nerdery" becomes key to recovering amazing ancient science. Atlantis changes their lives, as their lives change the meaning of Atlantis.
At first their grandfather guides them, an expert on the ancient world, with digital technologies that make the ancient world come alive. But he was dead, wasn't he? Or just the world's most advanced AI? Either way, he implodes before they reach Atlantis, leaving the young cousins to solve the mystery of Atlantis on their own. And they do.
This book is a story about three modern young heroes finding meaning for their lives. It's a trip through tourist icons like Athens' Acropolis and Egypt's Pyramid, fact-checked by the grandfather, on their way to the "greatest tourist destination on the planet," Atlantis. Readers will be with the cousins as they stand on Atlantis knowing where it is, and what catastrophe destroyed it.
