New mystery novel features a geo-political conspiracy and action-packed terrorist plot
Alan Kopilec announces publication of 'The Panga Attack'
DUNES CITY, Ore., Sept. 15, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- With the help of his friends and flying skills, FBI drone pilot Rex Remington III battles a terrorist who has kidnapped his sister and now threatens all of San Francisco in Alan Kopilec's new mystery novel "The Panga Attack" (published by Archway Publishing).
Rex Remington is the grandson of Reginald (Rex) Remington-I, the CIA spy who discovered the nuclear briefcase. Rex lost his eye in a helicopter accident as a Navy Seal. The FBI picks him up as their UAV program commander. Rex Remington battles terrorism by controlling drones with his bionic digital eye. When his sister Cindy is kidnapped by a weapons dealer named Ashaar, he discovers there was more to his father's conspiracy theory about his grandfather's nuclear briefcase mission with the CIA and his subsequent death while guarding President Reagan.
"(The characters) use technology in battling each other in a world where the truth is suppressed by the government and distorted by the media." Kopilec says. He hopes his novel teaches readers "Not to underestimate technology, or greed, or Russian spies, and the joy of UAV's and conspiracy theories."
