New novel urges 'be careful what you witch for' when desperately wishing for more goes wrong
Lisa Bonnice announces publication of 'The Poppet Master'
PHOENIX, Oct. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This Halloween marks the 10-year anniversary of the publication of "Be Careful What You Witch For" by Lisa Bonnice, with a reworked version of the novel, newly entitled "The Poppet Master" (published by Balboa Press AU). "The Poppet Master" is a metaphysical comedy about a bored Midwestern housewife, Lola Garnett, who accidentally gets far more than she wishes for.
Lola Garnett is a wife, mom and working woman who lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and desperately wishes for a more meaningful life. Her wish quickly comes true in the form of sudden and unexplainable psychic abilities, a reluctant fairy sidekick and a "bad witch" of a neighbor who sucks Lola into a web of psychic attacks, marital problems and even arson. Lola must learn to master her abilities — through a self-taught crash course in spell-casting — before her neighbor destroys everything, and everyone, she loves.
"In addition to a new perspective on how psychic abilities can be successfully harnessed, Lola and Twink are fun characters who will leave the readers wanting more (fortunately, sequels already in the works)," Bonnice said when asked what she wants readers to take away from her writing.
