The Lifesum Games are designed to motivate participants to develop healthy habits.
The Lifesum Games include three major challenges: "Hydrate-a-thon," "Track-ing and Field" and "Go for the Green to Get the Gold." Each of these challenges motivates consumers to develop a new healthy habit to improve their overall health over the long term. Participants will win a gold, silver or bronze classification based on how well they performed throughout the Lifesum Games.
The CEO of Lifesum, Henrik Torstensson, says the Lifesum Games will help users unleash the motivation they need to stick with their health and fitness plans while stuck in quarantine.

Hydrate-a-thon - Challenges Users to Drink More Water
The "Hydrate-a-thon" challenge requires participants to drink 8 glasses of water every day for the first week and track it in the app.
It can be hard to remember to drink enough water throughout the day, but, according to registered dietitians with Lifesum, staying hydrated makes weight loss easier, improves blood circulation, helps with the regulation of body temperature and aids in digestion. Even slight dehydration can negatively affect a consumer's health.
Track-ing and Field - Challenges Users to Track Their Meals
The "Track-ing and Field" challenge asks participants to eat and track at least three meals each day for the second week.
According to Lifesum nutritionists, everyone needs a variety of energy sources and macronutrients, such as carbs, protein and fats - regardless of whether their goals are to lose, gain or maintain their body weight. Nutritionists say tracking all meals throughout the day will increase their chances of reaching their goals.
Go for the Green to Get the Gold - Challenges Users to Eat More Vegetables
The "Go for the Green to Get the Gold" challenge has participants eat and track three vegetables per day in the final week. Lifesum nutritionists say vegetables are an essential part of any diet since they provide dietary fiber, vitamins & minerals such as vitamin C and potassium. Fiber also lowers the risk of high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, and obesity, while vitamin C is important for the connective tissue, skin, tissue and aids in the absorption of iron. The Lifesum Games will last three weeks with a new challenge beginning each Monday. When users open the app each Monday, a pop-up will ask users whether they want to participate.
With helpful notification reminders, users will be encouraged to stay on track and input their daily progress. Participants will find out on Sunday how they performed for the week and whether they won a gold, silver or bronze.
