Ocean Hills Recovery Celebrates 10 Years of Treating Addiction & Fighting the Opiod Crisis
DANA POINT, Calif. (PRWEB) August 06, 2018 -- Greg Doss and his wife Nicole Doss began helping people struggling with addiction in 2003. At that time, they opened not only their hearts, but also their home, to alcoholics and addicts. Greg and Nicole have completed extensive education and training through the years. Nicole earned her doctoral degree in Psychology and specializes in treating addiction and trauma and Greg is a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor. But beyond their education and training, they also have personal experience with recovery. Greg has been in recovery for 17 years.
Greg and Nicole noticed that the addiction treatment facilities they had seen operating were shockingly understaffed, impersonal, ineffectual, and often poorly maintained. Because of their love for the addicted population, they wanted to create something better than what was out there.
Over time, their reach and impact increased and in 2008, Ocean Hills Recovery, now a licensed and CARF certified addiction treatment facility, was incorporated. Now, 10 years after incorporation, Ocean Hills Recovery has helped more than 1,600 clients through the care of their professional and compassionate staff.
A true testimony to their dedication to clients, it’s not uncommon in the addiction recovery community for former clients to come back and work in addiction treatment. In doing so, they are able to pass the gift of sobriety to others.
