NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Omnivere is proud to announce that we are officially certified by the European Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. We will continue to remain committed to ensuring that our client's expectations around security and privacy are met, and this third-party accredited privacy certification along with our ISO27001 security certification will help secure and support our ability to deliver on these expectations.
The Privacy Shield framework is focused on the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States. The requirements of this framework include stronger data protection obligations for companies receiving personal data from the EU, safeguards on U.S. government access to data, effective protection and redress for individuals, and annual joint review to monitor the implementation.
To become certified, Omnivere has publicly committed to comply with all of the principles of the framework including: notice, choice, security, accountability for onward transfer, access, recourse, data integrity and purpose limitation.
