One Mother Shares Her Journey into Brokenness After the Loss of a Child in New Book
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) February 05, 2019 -- Daynabelle Anderson’s personal narrative, “Letters to My Son: A Mother’s Journey Through Grief” (published by Archway Publishing), offers her story and her perspective on how to live with grief, intended for anyone who has lost a loved one and who feels pressured to move on.
With the loss of her son, Jeramie, to a car accident, Anderson found herself broken. Stuck between punishing herself for trying to be whole again or to accept her new life, the author chose to forgive herself and work through her brokenness. “Letters to My Son” shows how she coped by writing letters to her son. Anderson also demonstrates how the stages of grief and loss do not occur in a linear manner. Pulling from nearly two decades of experience as a nurse and experience losing both her sister and child, Anderson seeks to bring comfort and hope to parents grieving the loss of a child like her as well as anyone who has ever lost a loved one.
“Grief, while universal, is experienced by those who have suffered a loss in very different ways,” Anderson says. “Although there are hundreds of self-help books on grief, loss, and death and dying, here is the book that poignantly comes alongside readers and enables them to articulate their pain.”
