NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (PRWEB) October 16, 2019 -- The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) today announced the 2019 class of OLC Fellows for their exceptional contributions to the field of online, blended and digital learning. They are:

  • I. Elaine Allen, Ph.D., Co-Director, Babson Survey Research Group, was nominated by Anthony Picciano, on behalf of the OLC Fellow Selection Committee, for her work and dedication to the field of online learning through her outstanding contribution to the research of online and blended learning.
  • Angela Gunder, Director of Instructional Design and Curriculum Development, The University of Arizona, was nominated by Jane Moore, for her dedication to service, innovation, scholarship and students in online learning.
  • Kadriye O. Lewis, Ed.D., Director of Evaluation and Program Development, Graduate Medical Education, Children's Mercy Hospitals, and Professor of Pediatrics, University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine, was nominated by Jennifer McVay-Dyche, for her work and dedication to advance online learning for health professions and medical education.
  • Russell Poulin, Executive Director, WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET), was nominated by Mary Niemiec, on behalf of the OLC Fellow Selection Committee, for his engagement and advocacy for rational and student-focused higher education policy on behalf of the national online learning community.
  • Jeff Seaman, Ph.D., Co-Director, Babson Survey Research Group, was nominated by Anthony Piccano, on behalf of the OLC Fellow Selection Committee, for his long-term commitment to national research and role in raising awareness of online learning, which exemplifies the Fellows designation.
  • Kaye Shelton, Ph.D., Professor of Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership, Lamar University, was nominated by Tilisa Thibodeaux, for her passion for improving the quality of online teaching and learning, advancing research and scholarship, and service to the profession.

Recognition as an OLC Fellow is conferred by the OLC Board of Directors on those who have demonstrated:

  • outstanding contributions to and accomplishments in the field of online learning
  • significant engagement and participation in the field of online learning
  • extraordinary engagement and participation with the Online Learning Consortium

Fellows will be recognized during a ceremony at OLC Accelerate 2019 (#OLCAccelerate), which takes place Nov. 19-22, in Orlando.
